Organize your stuff challenge - Week 9 - Embellishments (and a card for my dear MIL!)

First things first...
My wonderful MIL had to have back surgery yesterday, and luckily she came through with flying colors!  I saw this adorable file in the Silhouette store, and I HAD to make her this card!  She adores pop ups...no...really...she LOVES them!  Books, cards, anything that pops up...she is just a big kid at heart.  I am so happy with how this turned out.  She loves my homemade cards, so I'm hoping this puts a little cheer in her hospital stay.

Well, here is the way I keep my embellishments organized:
These are 12X12 three ring binders.  Two of them are Memory Docks, and I think the other one is American Crafts.  Obviously, my OCD didn't kick in too badly and I'm not freaking out that one is different!  Anyway, I took the principles behind the The Scrap Rack and made my own.  If you go to their website they have awesome articles about organization, and how to put something like this together.  Inside there are different configurations of Cropper Hopper pages with all of my embellies organized by color or theme.   Here is what a couple of the pages look like:
I have to admit, I still have some loose embellies that need to be organized.  But between MIL being in the hospital and various "end of school" and graduation stuff that needs to be done, I don't have time to do it.  It's a manageable amount, and once I get past graduation I'll be on it.  I PROMISE!!

  2. Thanks for posting about the scrap rack! I think I'll move toward that method too but with my own binders and inserts...great idea.
