A card that's not just a card...

This simple little Thank You card represents a monumental milestone in my scrapping life.
You see, Hubby has never been overly thrilled with my little hobby.  Granted, there have been times when I bought things when we didn't really have the money to spare.  And there are times when he'd rather me sit and watch TV with him than scrap in my scrappy attic.  But in the last few months, he seems to have begun to realize how happy being creative makes me.  He bought me a subscription to the Silhouette online store, and a new camera, for Mother's Day.  And then, yesterday, the true breakthrough.  We were at Office Depot, looking for photo paper, when he saw the Thank You cards.  Evidently, at his company, giving Thank You cards is a "thing".  He said he needed some.  I told him I could make him some really nice, masculine ones (that was an important requirement for him!).  And he said OK.  And so when we got home, I headed to the attic to create.  Less than an hour later, I presented him with two of these manly, dare I say, "engineery" (he is an engineer by training) Thank You cards.  He LOVED them!  YAY!!  (BTW, the "Thank You" is in the Silhouette online store.)

Today begins Embellishment week of the Organize your stuff challenge at Two Peas.  Mine are pretty well organized already, but I'm going to be sorting some Primas tonight.  WHERE did that bottle come from?!!?

  2. Love the card! Isn't it amazing when they begin to see the light! LOL! However, wait until your Hubby really goes to the dark side and you find yourself saying "no honey we really don't need that" (I almost kicked myself when I said that out loud!) Thanks for sharing and good luck with those primas! I am still a week behind!
