I just love how these cards turned out. As you can see, Pretty Girl has several friends graduating who have been special to our family. And, as you also might have figured out, they went to two different high schools. Five years ago, our school district split the high school into two since the enrollment has increased dramatically since I taught there in the mid-80's. Pretty Girl's graduating class was the same size as the entire high school enrollment was back then!! But the split meant that she got separated from two of her very best friends (one was in the previous LO I posted, the other she will be rooming with at Purdue in the fall). Which is why some of the cards have red caps and some have blue. The background paper is a Moxxie paper I bought last year and have stretched to make several cards the past two years. I think next year I may have to actually go buy new paper for graduation cards!!
Is that little graduation cap just the cutest thing?! The cap and flourish are a Silhouette file: grad_flourish_C01124_17986. The stamp is from my brand new Tim Holtz cling mount set called "Stuff to Say". Can I just say how much I am loving Tim Holtz right now?! I emailed him yesterday asking a question about one of his tutorials, and he emailed me back not even two hours later...from Puerto Rico!! WOW! Now THAT is someone who values his customers.
This weekend will be another card-making marathon. New baby in the family, my mom's birthday, Father's Day and DH's birthday...many, many cards to make in the next two weeks!!
great cards!!! they're really cool!
