My new baby has arrived!!

Well, hello there!  It has been FOREVER...well, exactly two months...since I last posted!  Life has certainly gotten in the way lately.  But today is a momentous day...and I MUST announce to the world that:

MY CAMEO IS IN THE HOUSE!!!!

I am so very excited about this new addition to my family!  Yes, my beloved Silhouette has moved on to another loving home, and her big sister is taking her place.  And, just in case you are wondering WHY I needed a Cameo when I loved my Silhouette so much.  Well, HERE is why:
Yes, you are seeing a 12" by 12" creation of beauty, courtesy of my brand new machine.  This thing cuts SO much better than the Silhouette it's crazy.  This design is cut from AC white card stock, which I used to have to cut at the highest setting.  This was cut on a THREE setting (out of TEN!) with the new ratchet blade, and it was almost too high  (the mat showed clear cutting marks).  That is INSANE!!  Is this not GORGEOUS?!!?

And here is my sweetheart doing a Print and Cut, which my old machine was very finicky about:
These are Silhouette images, with the one on the bottom being a simple label outline, filled with one of the Silhouette fill patterns (newspaper grunge).
I absolutely recommend this machine, even though I've only had it for...what time is it?...two hours!!  LOL!  I must mention that this is my Christmas present, and that I have an AMAZING husband who puts up with my crafty side and said "Yes" when I asked for this.  I am so blessed!

Oh, and in case you've made it to the end of this crazy post, I do promise to be back soon with more creations, and more organizing posts, too.  I'm doing the "final round" of the Organize your Stuff Challenge at Two Peas.  It helped me a TON last round, and I'm hoping to refine things this time.  See you soon!

  4. I got mine too and I was playing with it and it doesn't cut or when it does, it tears the paper. Any suggestions?

  5. It sounds like maybe you have the blade setting too high. This machine needs a much lower setting than the old one. Make sure you are adjusting the paper settings to the kind of paper you are using and then look to see what setting the blade should be on. If it still tears, I would suggest turning the blade setting a little lower.
    Hope this helps!
